Half way through the year, seems to have flown by and we are faced with the hot months ahead of us. As a reminder NSAC has 5 AC units at the gym that are ice cold for everyone to enjoy, even if you want a seasonal membership for the summer. If you have friends and family that are tired of the heat outside and need a cool environment to workout in, let them know that we have anywhere from 1 day to 1 year memberships available.

Welcome back to all our students that are back on Summer Break and congratulations to all those that have just graduated - it has been our utmost pleasure to see you grow into young adults while living a healthy and active lifestyle incorporating the gym into your routine. If we have any visitors that are coming for the summer, a reminder that all members are entitled to 1 guest, 1 time per month during business hours only, so feel free to introduce your friends and family to our facility if you have not already.

Despite the fact that our attendance slows down in the summer, keep in mind we do adjust our schedule for this time period. The most up to date schedule is available on Facebook, myiClubOnline or our website. Stay tuned on facebook for any announcements regarding class cancellations as well. Classes do still remain in HIGH demand, and we recognize it can be frustrating when you are unable to register for a class, but their availability will always be on a first come, first serve basis. All active members of the club - regardless if you have signed up for 1 month or 1 year, will be given an equal opportunity to attend our classes. NSAC offers the MOST FREE classes in the area. Please thank your instructors for making themselves available and for the hard work they put into teaching classes at the club, it can be very difficult and stressful on them at times. Members are able to sign up for class 48 hours ahead of time by going to MyiClubOnline.com - if a class is full, you will need to check if a spot has opened up regularly. If you are not registered for a class, you will NOT be able to attend. All spots are available on a first come first serve basis - regardless of membership types. Calling and leaving a voicemail to be signed up for class also DOES NOT reserve a place in that class, as our voicemail is checked during business hours and all spaces in those classes will likely have been taken by members signing up online - which is the most efficient and effective way to sign up for classes.

Don’t forget we have 2 certified massage therapists as well as 3 certified personal trainers if you feel like you need a little pampering or some training ideas over the summer. Our staff’s availability is limited, so stop by the front desk and we can coordinate a time with you that can fit into their schedule.

Thank you so much for your membership at the club, your local community gym for the last 35+ years.

We are what we repeatedly do!

This general style yoga utilizes the classical yoga postures and different sequencing for each class for the purpose of strengthening, opening, and cleansing the body. Poses are held for varying lengths of time. Through mindful work and attention to the breath, students will learn safe alignment in basic, flowing postures and sun salutations. Students will build strength, flexibility, balance, and awareness.

Don’t forget we have 3 certified personal trainers if you feel like you need some training ideas over the summer. Our staff’s availability is limited, so stop by the front desk and we can coordinate a time with you that can fit into their schedule!

Tips for Working Out in the Heat

"Ample sunshine, longer days and warmer temperatures provide more opportunities for the whole family to get outside and get active in the spring and summer.  Try walking, swimming, biking, skating, jumping rope."
